Released video clip for "Symphony of Steel"
8th of November, 2014

HAZY HAMLET releases its first official music video with the song "Symphony of Steel." The release date that coincides with this weekend was carefully chosen to celebrate a double anniversary: the fifteen years of the group's career, celebrated in mid-October, and the one year anniversary of the album "Full Throttle", released by Arthorium Records in mid November 2013. The track "Symphony of Steel" was chosen because it represents well the traditional heavy metal proposed by the band and also because it has been the single prior to the release of the album release.

After playing in some concerts during the first semester, including events alongside legends like RAVEN (UK), GRIM REAPER (UK) and PICTURE (Netherlands), HAZY HAMLET has paused its shows this second semester for reorganization of the personal lives of some members. The group is in talks with some promoters and should soon announce new shows to keep promoting "Full Throttle".

Recognition aside bands of the NWOBHM
21st March, 2014

Five months after the release of their second full-length, HAZY HAMLET begins to reap the fruits of their work. The album "Full Throttle", released in November 2013 by Arthorium Records has plucked praise from numerous vehicles of national and international press and bringing significant group invitations to interviews and events with legendary bands of the 70s and 80s.

In brazilian lands, the first review was published by webzine Brasil Metal História: "Full Throttle is a lesson of brute metal as we've known through the NWOBHM and for bands like Omen, Judas Priest and Manowar" - Leandro Nogueira Coppi cites, after which compliment the production of Arthur Migotto and celebrates - "Great return of HAZY HAMLET! Remember this name!". Meanwhile, Valterlir Mendes, in an article written for the webzine Recife Metal Law, highlights the group after returning from a long break and points out: "This is Heavy Metal to the last drop, or better, until the last riff!" - And after describing and praising the cover art says that the album "ultimately confirms HAZY HAMLET as one of the most important names of traditional Heavy Metal in Brazil." The album was also reviewed by magazines. For the traditional Roadie Crew Magazine, Écio Diniz Souza says that "well executed NWOBHM influences jump to the ears in a succession of riffs and striking passages", while Peter Humangous, editor in chief of Hell Divine Magazine, shoots: "HAZY HAMLET represents well Metal created in Brazil and shows the world the best we have here" and on Full Throttle, concludes: "It's the kind of album that's worth listening to again and again and to have it in your collection!".

If the album has called attention in Brazil, outside the country it has not disappoint, and has won heartfelt statements from redactors. Italian Luca Avalon is one of these, and wrote for the Heavy Metal Webzine: "Full Throttle is a valiant job in every aspect that leaves me a big smile on the face at every listening, in addition to constantly reminding me why I love this music so much...". Also in this step, we read the words of Saint Savin for the Hungarian webzine Kronos Mortus: "This album reminded me of all the excitement and atmosphere that got me into the world of metal in the first place...". The latest harvested review is also European - from Greece, more specifically. In it, writer Nick Parastatidis publishes that Full Throttle is "an album that you listen to from beginning to end and after it finishes you hit the play button again and again". After mentioning that in this album there are more noticeable influences from NWOBHM aside the German ones and that the production reminds discs as "Port Royal" and "See You in Hell" concludes categorically for the Behind the Veil Webzine: "I believe alongside the new material from the METAL INQUISITOR, HAZY HAMLET has offered me the best heavy metal album this year."

With so many accolades, the group has not been limited to only appear in reviews. Repercussion led the group to respond to interviews to German debutant Metal Gods Magazine, specializing in old-school heavy metal, and the now traditional magazine Heavy Metal Pages, from Poland, both chats quite long and enlightening. The aforementioned Greek webzine Behind the Veil was not let behind, and just published an interview earlier this week.

In addition to articles for the press, the momentum of the group reflects on the events, increasingly significant. In March HAZY HAMLET has played alongside legendary British group RAVEN, and was surprised with an excellent reception by headbangers and the local press. The show was the first of the group in Curitiba, and counted also with regional heavy metal groups BELTANE and DEVIL SIN. More recently, on May 4, HAZY HAMLET held exclusively support to a historic event in Londrina, playing with GRIM REAPER, from UK, and PICTURE, from the Netherlands - two legends of 80s metal and direct influences to the compositions of the band.

Full Throttle copies are currently in the hands of dozens of printed magazines around the world, waiting for reviews and invitations for interviews. With this, HAZY HAMLET hopes to reap even more fruits of their labor in the second half of 2014.

Stay tuned for more!

2014 season officialy starts today
21st March, 2014

HAZY HAMLET is finally back to stages, ending a period of more than 3 years in official silence due to singer Arthur Migotto's dysphonia. There were only two presentations during this period: taking part in a homage festival for a dear friend who has passed away (Laercio "Lord Holder", of death metallers "Holder"), and a test-concert in Rolandia-PR last year, used to diagnose how was Arthur's voice after (half) treatment.

The band will start a sequence of shows to promote the album Full Throttle, released last 16th of November, and couldn't ask for a better start. HAZY HAMLET will support legendary NWOBHM representants - RAVEN - tonight, and head for Jaraguá do Sul, SC, on Saturday, where the group will be headliners. On 4th of May the band will have the amazing opportunity of supporting two 80s classic metal gods - Picture (NET) and Grim Reaper (UK) - on the same event, in Londrina, PR.

More dates are being dealt and will be announced soon, as the band prepares to recover the lost time out of stages and retribute headbangers for their amazing support during the period of darkness.

Stay tuned for more!

The album cover artwork is signed by veteran Brazilian illustrator Celso Mathias, who worked with the group before in its Forging Metal debut. The painting presents norse god Odin once more, but this time riding a motorcycle version of his horse Sleipnir, transmitting a message about "carpe diem". A post-apocalyptic landscape intends to recall the listener to wars and mankind's path to degradation. Although the album will be released primarily in CD, the illustration was painted in gatefold format, as the band intends to release a vinyl version in the future.

All tracks were recorded and produced by HAZY HAMLET in its own Bigorna Studio and singer Arthur Migotto was responsible by mixing and mastering processes.

The group made available one of album's songs - Symphony of Steel - which can be heard and downloaded directly from this website (widget on right column).

New album title and tracklist
17th September, 2013

Hazy Hamlet - Promo Picture Four years and a half after the release of Forging Metal (2009), HAZY HAMLET announces its next full-length. Filled with influences from the NWOBHM, the new disc will present a more traditional sonority than its predecessor and will be called Full Throttle. The name highlights "carpe diem" as one of the main messages transmitted by the new material, although lyrics about humanism, war, Heavy Metal and some nordic and literary elements are still present - giving sequence to the previous work.

The album would be out the end of this September by an European label, but due to frequent communication problems HAZY HAMLET has opted for contract termination and rescheduling. It will be the first release by Arthorium Records, new label founded by singer and songwriter Arthur Migotto, dedicated only to old-school trends like Heavy, Speed and Thrash Metal.

Still with no date set, the release is promised for the end of the year, between November and December, and the exact day will be made available to the public as soon as confirmed. Cover artwork and more details will be promoted in the coming weeks. For the impatient, the group made available one of album's songs - Symphony of Steel - wich can be heard and downloaded directly from this website (widget on right column).

Hazy Hamlet is back and producing new album
25th February, 2013

Hazy Hamlet is officially back! The group has halted all activities - including the plans of a tour - in the beginning of 2011, when Arthur Migotto suffered a serious dysphonia. The singer developed a strong allergy after moving to another city, which took one year to be correctly diagnosed. His complete treatment will extend until 2014, but he feels ready to get back to stages.

During the second semester of 2012 Hazy Hamlet has been composing and recording songs for a new album, so it could be ready in the moment the band decided to return.

The successor to Forging Metal is already mixed and has received another great artwork by Brazilian illustrator Celso Mathias.

While some minor details are being finished, Hazy Hamlet is dealing with labels to have its second full-length released in CD and vinyl.
